Semolina Halwa

Indian sweets and desserts come in a wide variety. There are endless possible options that have been created in combinations that keep evolving even today. Semolina Halwa is one dessert you can quickly whip up when you have guests over or just if you are in a mood for something sweet and not overpowering.

This is a sweet confection made of semolina, ghee, sugar and dry fruits. Made on occasions and weekends, this has proved to be a long standing item on the dessert menu.

While growing up, I remember having this at breakfast on weekends and holidays. My kids love this with a glass of milk especially when they are back from soccer practice, while me and my husband like it at tea time.

You can make it by following the simple 4 step recipe on the Fox News website.
